Dustin is an accomplished designer with a unique balance of creative and technical expertise, coupled with a strong background in both print and web design. For over seven years, Dustin has helped employers and clients develop corporate and brand identities, as well as market positioning. Dustin is an Art Institute of Pittsburgh honors graduate and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design. Dustin's vast experiences range from designing annual reports, brochures, advertisements, product packaging, catalogs, logos, billboards and web pages, to more complex projects, such as programming and relational database development for the web. of knowing the long-term vision of a company and how to accurately and consistently reflect and strengthen that message in all visual and written communications. Dustin loves to travel, meet new people, experiences new cities and has lived and worked all over the United States.
Dustin’s design career started in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he took on freelance jobs for local businesses while working as a design intern at the corporate headquarters of Giant Eagle. In 2004, Dustin was hired as an entry-level designer at Paul Haven Design, a design studio in Orange County, California. In his four years with the company, Dustin worked his way up from designer to senior designer and finally art director. As art director, Dustin managed and directed a team of designers and was the lead creative.
In 2008, Dustin decided to leave California and move to Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, Dustin was hired as a senior web designer at Northridge Interactive, one of the largest web & interactive firms in the Southeastern United States. At Northridge, Dustin was able focus entirely on web & interactive design and gained an tremendous amount of experience.
Dustin has since moved back to Pittsburgh to start his own design studio, Onit Interactive. At Onit, Dustin is the creative director and runs a team of designers and developers who specialize in taking on some interesting and complex projects. His knowledge in business and technology makes him a crucial asset to his clients as well as to his team. Onit Interactive offers interactive & web design, print design, advertising & marketing and corporate branding solutions. They create cutting-edge designs and unique online experiences, that are not only eye catching, but also rich in content and designed around usability.
